One of the things that Mr Pug and I loved about the Palomino Ballroom was their massive decorative window. We'll be putting our sweetheart table in front of it, and since we're having a nighttime (dinner) reception, we'll be utilizing these:

The Palomino Ballroom offers a lot of in-house things that you can't rent out yourself- everything from their catering to their chairs to these wonderful window candles. It's their way or the highway. Their way for this window will cost you something like $100. Could it be done for less? Absolutely. Is it so beautiful that we're doing it anyway? Yep. Mr Pug especially loved this. And it's just under 50 candles so it would have at least cost us $50 to DIY. One less thing to worry about that will have a huge visual impact.
What wonderful, unique things drew you to your venue?
Soooo pretty! :) Definitely worth the $100 to have the candles!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'd definitely pay upwards of $50 for that shot. Could you use candles that you have lying around the house? Or borrow some family/friends?
ReplyDelete@Melody- unfortunately not- some things you can bring in from outside vendors (dessert, florals, etc) but some you need to use what they provide- catering, chairs, and these candles included. Their candles are the only ones they'll let you put in the windows (I'm sure safety has something to do with it!)
ReplyDeleteI love it! My venue has big windows like that but we can't put anything "flaming" in them.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful! And one less thing you'll have to worry about taking care yourself of at the last minute :)
ReplyDeleteBTW - Chris, their in-house DJ, is fantastic!!! I actually wanted him for our wedding but I think he only does events there. =( My friend that had her reception at Palomino was very pleased with him and I thought he was fantastic as well!
