100 Followers Giveaway!

This Giveaway Is Now Closed!

Can you believe it, I reached 100 followers! And that means it's time for a giveaway!

I won a Name Change Kit from Name Change Express and will be giving one away to one you guys as well!

First of all I must say that I'm aware not everyone changes their name. Personally, there was never a question in my mind that it is the choice for me. But that's not true for everyone. So to all of you followers not changing your name, I'm sorry it's not an exciting giveaway for you :( but I hope you still think I'm awesome.

There are four ways to enter. Each entry method you do must be left in a separate comment!

1. Comment about why you are changing your name.

2. Follow my blog and leave a comment saying so (either on blogger or RSS or whatever.)

3. Comment after you request to follow me on Twitter and tweet "I entered to win a @Name_Change kit from @kjpugs! Enter here: http://tinyurl.com/yfq7flk" (ps you should also totally follow @Name_Change, they rock.)

4. Blog about this giveaway and leave the link the comments.

See, nice and easy! So go forth and conquer!

EDIT: I was so excited that I forgot to say when the giveaway will be over! I'll be taking entries until the end of the day Wednesday, February 10th (midnight eastern time) and will announce the winner at some point on Thursday. Silly me!

  1. I'm changing my name because when I marry my FI, we create a family. And I think a family should all have the same name.

  6. I'm changing my name because my current last name is Kuntz. And although I love my family, I'm sick of how people pernounce it. Plus Laura Lewis sounds awesome! :)

  7. I'm changing my name because I want Josh and I to be one family unit. I want our children to have the same last name. My last name is hugely important to me, but I'm so excited to share his last name!

  15. I'm changing my last name because, once I become "Mister Mr.'s" wife, I am no longer my fathers daughter first...I am NOW Mister. Mr.'s wife FIRST. It's no to forsake my father's name...but I will be a wife first & I strongly believe in a family being a unified group and the last name is the icing on the cake! :)

  17. What a great giveaway and congrats on 100 followers! Me, too!

I am changing my name because most simply: I am a traditionalist. That's the way it always was done and though I have come into the modern age in many ways, this is one of those things that was never ever an issue for me. :) Though I'll miss my old name after 37 years, I'm excited to finally get to change it!

  23. I am changing my name because I love the idea of having the same last name as my husband and children! Also, my last name is super hard to pronounce, and it gets really annoying! :-)

    Oh, and I'm a follower already. I was #100. :-D

  24. I have a last name that constantly makes people ask me it's origin/where it's from, how to say it... I have to correct pronunciation ALL the time. So Johnson as a new last name? Yes please!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I've never considered not changing my name. It's just the "norm" around here. But, I have to say my new name will be pretty fantastic. Love. Yes, I even considered getting my doctorate just so I could be called Dr. Love...but that's silly! Plus, my current last name starts with a W and I hate always being last when people do stuff alphabetically hahaha.

  34. I'm changing my name, directly following my wedding so that I can start my professional career with my married name, so I don't have to do it later on in my career when it's more difficult. I'm even having them hold my diploma for my marriage license.

  35. Congrats on getting 100 followers! I would love to have that many.

I am still trying to change my name on everything. Wish they did a kit like this for Australia. Would love to enter... but it doesn't work here.

    Good luck to everyone!

  36. I'm going to change my name because it sounds really pretty with my first name (Jennifer). Unfortunately, my new name-to-be doesn't have the ethinic or rhyming quality that my current name has (my current name is hard to pronounce and remember, so I came up with a rhume for people to remember it. Oh well. I'm still excited about changing.

  39. Ok...I REALLY need this! :) I have been a bad wife! We have been married for - almost - 5 years and I have not changed my name YET! My excuse was that in 2010 my passport and drivers license was up for renewal so I was waiting. Well, it's now 2010! I have to get this done by October :) ***see not all brides take care of this right away even when we LOVE our new last name, compared to our maiden name ***

  40. I've chosen to change my name since growing up with a difficult name is hard as a child. Over the years I have become acustomed to people never being able to spell or say my name. FI's last name, on the other hand, is very easy. I'm looking forward to being able to finally go somewhere (like a resturant) and not have to make up a pseudo last name for reservations just so I don't have to spend forever spelling it to the hostess. I also need to change my name immediately after the wedding as my company is moving at the beginning of May and I need to have my legal name changed before that for all the security documents. So having this name changing kit would really help with that process!

  53. Woo hoo - great contest!
    1. I'm changing my name because I really am not all that attached to the one I have at the moment. It isn't that I don't like it or anything, but it doesn't have some long standing amazingness that I would be unwilling to give up. I also like that Justin and I will share a name...old fashioned, yes...but romantic? Totally. Plus, my new last name sounds pretty darn cute with my first name...hehe

  63. I've always known that I would change my name. I'm not close to my father, since he was very abusive and horrible to me growing up. I can't wait to get rid of his name! I'm excited to take on the name of a man who actually loves me, and who treats me with the love and respect I deserve. :)

  64. I am changing my name because I just never thought I would keep my own after getting married. And, my niece already calls me Aunt KK which will be my initials after we're married! :)
